Which is better for grinding salt?

The Esspur. It is sold as a salt and pepper set, while the CIRCLE JOY is listed for pepper. Salt is hard on ceramic burrs, so check the Esspur's mill before heavy salt use.

Is the Esspur worth $11 more?

Yes if you need two mills for salt and pepper. If you only grind pepper, the CIRCLE JOY does the job for $18.95 at eBay as of November 4, 2026.

Which has the better grind adjustment?

The CIRCLE JOY states adjustable coarseness with a ceramic burr. The Esspur listing gives no grind settings, so the CIRCLE JOY is the safer pick for coarse or fine control.

Do both recharge by USB?

The CIRCLE JOY is listed as USB rechargeable. The Esspur is listed as rechargeable but does not state the cable type, so confirm before buying.

The Esspur states 3 fluid ounces per mill. The CIRCLE JOY gives no capacity figure, so the Esspur is the only one you can size up in advance.

Neither listing gives a warranty or motor life figure. Ceramic burrs like the CIRCLE JOY's resist wear on pepper; the Esspur's 4.7 rating from 48 ratings is the only durability signal.
