The 2-in-1, if its screen supports touch and pen input. The standard 16 Plus lists a touchscreen but no convertible hinge, so it can't fold flat for writing.

Is the 2-in-1 worth the price difference?

It is cheaper, not pricier: $949.00 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026 versus $1,019.99 for the 16 Plus on November 3, 2026. You pay less and get the hinge and faster memory, but give up about 0.4 lb and the listed biometrics.

Which lasts longer on a charge?

Dell 16 Plus Laptop vs Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1

Both are 16-inch Dell laptops with 32GB LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB SSD, so the choice comes down to form factor and price.
