Are these two kits the same tools?

Yes. Both pair a 1/2-inch drill/driver with a 1/4-inch impact driver, two 20V MAX lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a contractor bag. The specs match on voltage, motor type and weight.

Which is better for home projects?

Either one. Both are brushless 20V kits suited to drilling, driving and light assembly. Neither has a hammer mode, so neither is the pick for concrete or brick.

Is the cheaper one worth the risk?

At $71.49 versus $149.00 as of November 4, 2026, the eBay listing saves about $78. Weigh that against eBay's return process and reports of dead batteries or broken drivers out of the box.

How long do the batteries last?

The kit batteries are 1.3 Ah, which is small for 20V tools. Expect good runtime for driving screws and light drilling, and shorter runtime under continuous heavy drilling. Larger 20V MAX batteries fit both kits.

Which has better reviews?

The DeWalt kit listing shows 4.6 out of 5 from 8,482 ratings. The DCK277D2 listing shows 5 out of 5 from just 1 rating, so it tells you little.

Do both include a charger and bag?

Yes. Both include a charger and a contractor bag, and both use the same DeWalt 20V MAX battery platform.
