Questions and answers
- Which is better for a large bedroom?
- The HM524S. It covers up to 500 sq ft with a 6 L tank, against 300 sq ft and 4 L for the smaller model.
- Is the HM524S worth the extra money?
- If your room is over 300 sq ft or you dislike refilling, yes. At $59.99 versus $29.99 on November 3, 2026, you pay double for 50% more tank and 67% more coverage.
- Which one runs longer between refills?
- On paper the HM524S claims 60 hours and the 4 L model claims 36. Owners report the HM524S runs about 12 hours in practice, so expect both to need nightly refills in a dry room.
- Do both work with Alexa and Google Assistant?
- The 4 L Smart Humidifier lists Alexa and Google Assistant voice control. The HM524S lists WiFi app control but no voice assistants in its specs.
- Which is quieter?
- Both are rated at 28 dB, so noise is not a reason to pick one over the other.
- Which is easier to clean?
- Both use top-fill tanks and modular parts. Neither lists dishwasher-safe parts, so both need hand washing.
