Questions and answers
- Which is better for grout and tile?
- The Dupray Tosca. Its 4 L boiler and superheated steam sustain the output that grout lines and tile restoration need, while the handheld is built for spot work.
- Which heats up faster?
- The handheld, at about 10 seconds versus 7 minutes for the Tosca. That makes the handheld better for a quick bathroom wipe-down.
- Is the Tosca worth the extra money?
- For daily or professional use, yes: longer runs, stronger steam and a lifetime boiler warranty. For occasional spot cleaning, the handheld covers it for far less.
- Which lasts longer per fill?
- The Tosca. Its 4 L boiler outlasts the handheld's 1800 mL tank, which is rated for up to 75 minutes.
- Can either clean car interiors?
- Both can. The Tosca handles full detailing with a hose and sustained steam; the handheld is easier to reach into tight spots.
- Which is easier to store and carry?
- The handheld. The Tosca weighs 26 lbs and is a canister unit, though its hose detaches for storage.
