Which handles deep snow better?

The EGO. Its 13-inch intake and 6-inch steel auger take deeper snow and plow banks; the Greenworks intake is 10 inches.

Which is better for a small driveway?

The Greenworks is enough for light snow on a short drive, and one battery covers it. The EGO is overkill unless snow is heavy or deep.

How far does each throw snow?

EGO up to 42 feet, Greenworks up to 25 feet. The EGO also has variable auger speed for control.

How long does each run on a charge?

EGO claims a 14-car driveway with 8 inches of snow using both 6.0Ah batteries. Greenworks claims 16 to 20 car driveways on its 5.0Ah battery; treat both as best-case.

Is the EGO worth the extra?

For heavy, wet snow, long driveways or plow banks, yes: wider, deeper, stronger auger and two batteries. For light snow on small walks, the Greenworks saves money and weight.

Do the batteries work in other tools?

Yes for both. EGO batteries fit all EGO 56V ARC Lithium tools; Greenworks 40V batteries power 100+ Greenworks 40V tools.
