EssilorLuxottica Nuance Audio Hearing Glasses vs Nuance Audio 5001 Square 54 Glasses

These are the same product: Nuance Audio hearing glasses by EssilorLuxottica, sold under the Nuance Audio brand. The Nuance Audio 5001 Square 54 is the 54 mm square acetate frame with open-ear speakers, directional microphones and a wireless charging pad. At $699.00 at SportRx as of November 1, 2026, it is the only price we have for this pair, so there is nothing to compare on cost. Buy it if you want prescription glasses that double as a hearing aid; skip it if you need a traditional hearing aid with medical fitting or a plain pair of frames.

    Questions and answers

Are these two the same glasses?
Yes. Nuance Audio is EssilorLuxottica's hearing-glasses line, and the 5001 Square 54 is one frame in it. Expect the same speakers, microphones and charging pad.
    Is $699.00 a fair price?
It is the only price we have, listed at SportRx as of November 1, 2026. Compare it against a prescription pair plus a separate hearing aid, which usually costs more combined.
Do they work as a hearing aid?
They amplify speech through open-ear speakers and directional microphones. They are not a replacement for a professionally fitted medical hearing aid for significant loss.
What face size fits the 54 mm frame?
The 54 mm lens and 150 mm temples suit medium to larger faces. Try them on if you can, since acetate frames fit snugly.
How long does the battery last?
About a full day of mixed use, and the included wireless charging pad tops them up overnight. Heavy streaming shortens that.
Can I put my own prescription in them?
Yes, they are sold as prescription eyewear. Your optician fills the lenses; the electronics sit in the temples.
