Questions and answers
- Are these two the same glasses?
- Yes. Nuance Audio is EssilorLuxottica's hearing-glasses line, and both listings describe the Square frame with the same 48-22 dimensions, 10-hour battery and 6 microphones. Treat them as one product sold under two names.
- Which is cheaper?
- Only the Nuance Audio Glasses listing has a price on record: $699.00 as of 2026-11-01. No price was given for the EssilorLuxottica listing, so check its store page before deciding.
- Do they work as real hearing aids?
- Nuance Audio glasses amplify nearby speech through directional speakers and were cleared by the FDA as self-fitting over-the-counter hearing aids. They are not a substitute for a prescription hearing aid fitted by an audiologist for significant loss.
- How long does the battery last?
- Up to 10 hours of continuous use under average conditions, then recharge. Streaming audio over Bluetooth will shorten that.
- Can I put my prescription in them?
- Yes. Both listings are prescription type with UV and anti-reflective lenses, so an optician can fit your Rx into the Square frame.
- Do they work with my phone?
- They pair over Bluetooth Low Energy with iOS 16.6.1 or later and Android 12 or later.
