Which is bigger, the Franco or the Northwest throw?

The Franco is bigger at 62 x 90 in. The Northwest is 50 x 70 in, so it works better as a couch throw than a bed cover.

The Northwest is cheaper at $19.99 at Amazon as of November 6, 2026. The Franco is $24.99 at eBay as of the same date.

Which is softer for a kid?

The Northwest has a silk touch polyester finish that feels smooth and slick. The Franco's cotton-rich blend feels more like standard bedding.

Which is easier to wash?

The Northwest lists machine wash cold on a delicate cycle with mild detergent. Franco does not state care instructions for this throw.

Is the Northwest throw worth the savings over the Franco?

Yes if you want a throw for a couch or chair. Pay the extra $5 for the Franco only if you need the larger size for a bed.

Are both officially licensed Hello Kitty products?

The Northwest is listed as officially licensed. The Franco is a licensed Franco Hello Kitty design, though the listing does not use that wording.
