Which is better for rain and wet carts?

The G-ROK. It is rated IPX7, meaning it survives being submerged, while the Wingman View is IPX6 and only rated for water jets. If you play in heavy rain, the G-ROK is the safer choice.

Do I need a rangefinder if I buy the G-ROK?

Yes, the G-ROK has no GPS. The Wingman View gives front, center and back yardages plus hazard distances, so it replaces a basic rangefinder for course distances.

Which lasts longer on the course?

The G-ROK, by a wide margin on paper: 24 hours claimed versus about 10 hours, or two rounds, for the Wingman View. The Wingman View's USB port can top up your phone, but it drains its own battery to do it.

Is the Wingman View worth $80 even with the lower rating?

If you want yardages, yes. It is $19 cheaper than the G-ROK at current best prices and adds GPS, a screen and phone charging. Its 3.7 rating reflects complaints about the display, remote and a subscription update.

Which sticks to the cart better?

The G-ROK's magnet is rated at 49 lbs of pull force, which is very strong for a 502 g speaker. The Wingman View's BITE mount is well liked by reviewers and holds at 2 lb, but no pull force is published.

Can either play music without my phone?

Only the G-ROK, which has a Micro SD slot for up to 5,000 songs. The Wingman View is Bluetooth only and needs a paired phone for music.

G-ROK Wireless Golf Speaker vs Bushnell Wingman View

Buy the Bushnell Wingman View if you want GPS yardages and music in one cart-mounted unit; it is the cheaper buy at $80.00 at eBay as of November 5, 2026 versus $99.00 at RMI Golf Carts for the G-ROK. Buy the G-ROK if battery life and waterproofing matter more than yardages: it claims 24 hours and IPX7 against Bushnell's 10 hours and IPX6. The G-ROK is the safer pick for rain and long days; the Wingman View is the better pick for golfers who want distances without a separate rangefinder.

Today the G-ROK Wireless Golf Speaker costs $154.99 less at its best price.
