Which is better for cold, wet winters?

The GULAIMOAO resin shell holds up to rain and frost without sealing. The Petsfit is weatherproof but wood benefits from a coat of sealant and dry bedding. Add straw bedding to either for warmth.

Which lasts longer outdoors?

Resin generally outlasts untreated wood, so the GULAIMOAO needs less upkeep over the years. A sealed and covered Petsfit can last many seasons too, but it takes annual work.

Is the Petsfit worth the savings?

At $90.79 versus $107.37, you save about $17. You trade a large rot-proof shell for a smaller wooden one that needs maintenance.

How many cats fit in each?

The GULAIMOAO's 52 by 38 inch footprint suits two or three cats across its two levels. The Petsfit's 20 by 20 inch footprint is best for one cat, or a mother with kittens.

Do both have an escape door?

Yes. Both list a separate escape door, which gives a cat a second way out if another animal blocks the main entrance.

Which is easier to place on a porch?

The Petsfit, at 20 by 20 inches, fits a small corner or balcony. The GULAIMOAO needs a larger flat spot and is heavier to move.
