Which is more comfortable for long sitting?

The SleepMan, because its memory foam fill conforms more than the HARBOREST's flat 2-inch foam. Reviewers call the SleepMan cushions comfortable and firm.

Which stays on the chair better?

The SleepMan. Its U-shape and reviewers report it stays in place without tying. The HARBOREST relies on its ties.

Which handles rain better?

The HARBOREST, which lists water-resistant fabric. The SleepMan listing does not claim water resistance, so bring it in during storms.

Can either go in the washing machine?

The SleepMan is spot clean only. The HARBOREST gives no cleaning instructions, so spot clean it too unless the care tag says otherwise.

Is the SleepMan worth extra if it costs more?

Yes if you sit for hours and want memory foam. If you mainly need cheap coverage for six chairs, the HARBOREST does the job.

Do both fit a standard 17x16 inch seat?

Yes, both are listed at 17 by 16 inches. The SleepMan's U-shape leaves a gap at the back, so measure your chair's back rail first.
