The LG Gram 17. It weighs about 3.2 lb versus 6.5 lb, and LG rates it at up to 23.5 hours of video playback.

Is the LG Gram 17 worth the extra $200?

If portability and battery life matter more than graphics power, yes. At $1,949.99 at Newegg versus $1,749.00 at Amazon as of November 8, 2026, you pay for half the weight and a sharper screen, not more speed.

The Gram's 2560x1600 panel is sharper and no-glare. The Omen's 1080p screen is less detailed but refreshes at 144Hz, which suits fast games.

Can I add storage to either one?

The Gram has two M.2 Gen4 slots and ships with 1TB, so you can add a second drive. The Omen already ships with 2TB.

The Gram's battery lasts far longer per charge. For hardware lifespan, both are current-generation machines; the Omen's stronger GPU keeps it useful for games longer.
