Which is better for a large flat lawn?

The Husqvarna TS 140X. Its 54-inch deck, 24 hp and automatic drive handle open ground, and it costs far less at current prices.

Is the Cub Cadet worth the extra money?

Only if you need garden-tractor capability, such as towed or ground-engaging attachments. For mowing alone, the Husqvarna does the same 54-inch cut for about $3,000 less.

The Cub Cadet's garden-tractor build points to longer life under heavy work, and its 4.5 out of 5 from 90 ratings supports that. The Husqvarna has no rating given here, so its long-term record is less clear.

Do both have cruise control?

Yes. Both list cruise control and a rotary blade system, and both use gas power.

Which is easier to store and maneuver?

Both are 54-inch tractors, so footprint is similar. The Husqvarna is the lighter lawn/garden tractor class, which usually makes it easier to handle on open lawns.

What is the lowest price seen for each?

The Husqvarna hit $1,899.00 on October 31, 2026. The Cub Cadet showed $999.00 on the same date, but its best new price is $4,899.99 at Stark Street Lawn & Garden as of November 7, 2026.
