Is the New York Limited Edition different whisky?

No. It is the same Blue Label blended Scotch at 40% ABV in a 750 ml bottle. You are paying for the limited-edition packaging, not a different blend.

Which is cheaper right now?

The standard Blue Label, at $239.95 at Crush Wine & Spirits as of November 3, 2026. The New York edition is $249.99 at Westhampton Fine Wine.

Is the New York edition worth the extra $10?

Only if you want the bottle as a keepsake or gift. For drinking, the standard bottle gives you the same whisky for less.

Which one should I gift?

The New York Limited Edition, if the person has a New York connection or collects bottles. Otherwise the standard Blue Label is the safer, cheaper gift.

Did the New York edition get cheaper recently?

It hit $199.99 on November 1, 2026, then rose to $249.99 by November 3. Watch the price before buying.

Does either bottle carry an age statement?

No. Blue Label is a blend with no age statement, despite older listings mentioning 18 years.
