Which is better for gaming?

The Aero X16 has the stronger GPU, the RTX 5070, so it should push higher frame rates at 2560x1600. The Legion 5a's 165Hz OLED still gives smoother motion and better contrast in fast games.

Which has more storage and memory?

The Aero X16 doubles both: 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD versus 16 GB and 512 GB on the Legion 5a. That matters for large game libraries and video editing.

Is the OLED screen worth choosing the Legion for?

If you play fast games or watch HDR content, yes. The 165Hz OLED with HDR 1000 and 500 nits is the Legion's main advantage over the Aero X16.

Which lasts longer on battery?

Gigabyte rates the Aero X16 at up to 14 hours. Lenovo gives no battery figure for the Legion 5a, and OLED gaming laptops typically run shorter, so the Aero is the safer bet for unplugged work.

Are they the same size and weight?

Nearly. The Legion 5a is 15.3 inches and 4.1 lb; the Aero X16 is 16 inches and 4.2 lb. The Aero gives you a larger screen for about the same weight.

Is the Aero X16 worth the extra?
