Which is better for a bright living room?

The Samsung M70H. Its 55-inch screen is noticeably larger for group viewing, and both sets are 60 Hz LED with HDR, so size is the real difference. The LG QNED74B suits a bedroom or smaller room.

Is the Samsung worth the extra $49?

Yes for most shoppers. You get 5 more inches, three HDMI ports and Alexa support. Skip it if $249 is your ceiling or your wall space is tight.

Which has more HDMI inputs?

The Samsung M70H lists 3 HDMI ports. The LG QNED74B listing does not state an HDMI count, so confirm it at the store before you buy if you need several devices connected.

Do both support the same streaming apps?

Both list Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube and Disney+. The LG also lists HBO. Both connect over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB.

Neither listing states a panel lifespan, so there is no clear winner. The Samsung has far more ratings (2,500 versus 152), which gives a better read on reliability over time.

Which is easier to fit on a wall or stand?

The LG QNED74B is 43.8 in wide and 2.8 in deep. The Samsung M70H is 48.2 in wide, 3 in deep and weighs 22 lb. Measure your space before choosing.
