Meta Quest 3 512GB VR Headset vs Meta Quest 3 VR Headset 128GB
Buy the Quest 3 128GB refurbished for most shoppers. It is the same headset with less storage, and 128GB is enough for a dozen or so large games at a time. The 512GB new unit is priced at $944.17 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, which is far above what this hardware normally costs. Only pay that premium if you want factory-sealed condition and plan to keep a large library installed.

Questions and answers
- Is the 512GB model worth the extra over the 128GB?
- Only if you keep many large games installed at once or insist on a sealed new unit. The screens, lenses and chip are identical, and the 512GB price of $944.17 at eBay as of November 3, 2026 is steep for that storage alone.
- Do both have the same display and performance?
- Yes. Both list 2064x2208 pixels per eye, pancake lenses, up to 120Hz and the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2. Games look and run the same on either.
- Which is better for PC VR streaming?
- Either works. Both support Wi-Fi 6E and Steam Link, and both can use a Quest Link cable over USB-C. Storage does not affect streaming performance.
- Is a refurbished Quest 3 reliable?
- A certified refurbished unit is hand tested and backed by a 12-month warranty and 30-day returns, which covers most early failures. Check the cosmetic grade before buying.
- How many games fit in 128GB?
- Roughly 10 to 15 large titles, since big VR games run 5 to 10GB each. Smaller apps and media take far less. The 512GB model removes that juggling.
- Does the 128GB unit include controllers?
- The listing shows only a USB charging cable in the box, so confirm controllers are included before you buy. The 512GB listing explicitly includes both Touch controllers.
