Which is better for a small living room?

The Davis set. Two tables nest into one 35.3 in square footprint, and you can pull the small one out when guests arrive. The Rocket is a single 33.5 in wide table with a fixed shelf.

Is the Rocket worth the extra $267?

Only if you want a glass top and a 300 lb weight limit. The Davis set gives you two wood tables for $149.99, so the Rocket's premium buys material and shelf space, not more tables.

Which holds more weight?

The Rocket, at 300 lbs versus 80 lbs for the Davis set. The Davis limit is fine for drinks, books and a laptop, but not for someone sitting on the table.

Which is easier to clean?

The Rocket's tempered glass wipes clean with glass cleaner, but it shows smudges. The Davis wood veneer only needs a dry cloth and quick blotting of spills, and bleach should never be used on it.

Do either need assembly?

The Davis set takes about 30 minutes and includes all hardware. The Rocket also ships unassembled, but its listing does not state a time.

The Rocket's hardwood and plywood frame with a 300 lb limit should hold up better under heavy use. The Davis tables are rubberwood and MDF with veneer, which dents and chips more easily at the edges.
