Which is better for a home DIYer?

The 28-piece set covers small fastening jobs for $79. The 366-piece set only makes sense if you plan to do full mechanic work and want the PACKOUT storage.

Which set has more socket sizes?

The 366-piece set. It includes shallow and deep well sockets across multiple drives, while the 28-piece set is 1/4-inch drive metric only.

Do both ratchets have the same arc swing?

Yes. Both use a 90-tooth ratchet with 4 degrees of arc swing, so tight-space access is similar.

Is the 366-piece set worth the extra money?

Only if you need the full tool range and the PACKOUT drawers and dolly. For socket work alone, the $79 set does the same job at a fraction of the price.

Both carry Milwaukee's lifetime guarantee on the ratchet and sockets. The 366-piece set adds coverage on wrenches, pry bars and hammers, but the small set's chrome vanadium sockets are built for the same light-duty use.

Can I move the 366-piece set easily?

Yes. It ships with a PACKOUT dolly, and the drawers stack with other PACKOUT boxes. The 28-piece set just goes in its carry case.
