Which is better for a child's first phone?

The NANNEE A17 Mini, if the child only needs calls and simple apps, because it is tiny and cheap. If the child will use video, games or maps, the BLU is the safer pick despite its larger size.

Which lasts longer on a charge?

The BLU. Its 5,000mAh battery runs a full day of normal use, while the NANNEE's 900mAh cell is rated for 24-48 hours of standby, not active use.

Is the BLU worth the extra $1.39?

Yes for almost anyone. For $29.88 you get 5G, a 6.56-inch 90Hz screen, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a 50MP camera, against a 3-inch 3G phone.

Can I use the NANNEE on any carrier?

It is unlocked and takes dual nano SIMs, but it is 3G only, so check that your carrier still runs a 3G network before buying.

Can I use the BLU on another carrier?

It ships locked to Walmart Family Mobile prepaid. Expect to meet that carrier's unlock policy before moving it to another network.

Which takes better photos?

The BLU by a wide margin. It has a 50MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera; the NANNEE has a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera.
