Which is better for winter weather?

Both are resin two-level shelters, and neither listing states an insulation rating. The Nihsuao does list an adjustable window you can close against drafts, which the DRATO does not mention. In hard freezes, add bedding and a flap to either.

Is the DRATO worth saving $106?

If you just need a covered two-level resin box, yes. You give up published door size, the balcony, the adjustable window and a stated assembly time. Pay the extra only if those features matter to you.

Which has more room for two cats?

The DRATO lists the larger footprint at 51.97 by 26.42 inches. The Nihsuao listing gives conflicting dimensions, so confirm the actual size with the seller before assuming it is smaller.

Both are resin, which resists rot and UV better than wood. Neither listing gives a warranty or resin thickness, so lifespan depends on sun exposure and assembly quality rather than brand.

Can either be used indoors?

Yes. Both are marketed for indoor and outdoor use, and the Nihsuao description says so directly. Indoors the DRATO's black finish shows dust more than the Nihsuao's blue.

Which is easier to put together?

The Nihsuao states about 20 minutes with no tools. The DRATO publishes no assembly details, so expect to check the box contents and instructions on arrival.

Nihsuao Outdoor Cat House, Double-Decker Weatherproof Resin Cat Shelter with Adjustable Window & Balcony vs DRATO Outdoor Cat House Resin Double-Decker Cat Houses for Cats Weatherproof Large Space Cat Shelter Indoor & Outdoor Use

Buy the DRATO if price is the deciding factor: it is $43.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, against $149.99 at Walmart for the Nihsuao. The Nihsuao is the safer pick if you want a listed door size, a stated assembly time and a balcony layout, since the DRATO listing gives none of those. Both are resin two-level outdoor shelters of similar footprint, so the $106 gap is the real story.

Today the DRATO Outdoor Cat House Resin Double-Decker Cat Houses for Cats Weatherproof Large Space Cat Shelter Indoor & Outdoor Use costs $126.00 less at its best price.
