Which is better for a family buying their first Switch 2?

The bundle. It includes Mario Kart World, a second storage card, a screen protector and racing wheels, so kids can play together out of the box. The console alone leaves you buying a game and accessories separately.

Is the bundle worth the extra $85?

Usually yes if you want Mario Kart World and a memory card anyway. Mario Kart World plus a 256 GB microSD Express card and a screen protector bought separately tends to cost close to that. If you only want the console, save the money.

Do both have the same console inside?

Yes. Both are the Nintendo Switch 2 with 256 GB storage, a 7.9 in screen and two Joy-Con 2 controllers. The bundle adds a game, a memory card and accessories.

Which has better battery life?

The bundle lists up to 6.5 hours. The console listing gives no figure, and reviewers say the Switch 2's battery is shorter than the original Switch's. Treat both as the same hardware.

Can I use my old Switch 1 accessories with either?

Yes. Both work with Switch 1 Joy-Cons and accessories, and both take microSD Express cards for extra storage.

Which is cheaper right now?

The console: $375.00 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, versus $459.99 at Walmart for the bundle. Check both before buying, since prices move.

Nintendo Switch 2 vs Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle

Buy the plain Switch 2 (Product A) if you want the console at the lowest price and will pick your own game and accessories. Buy the bundle (Product B) if you want Mario Kart World, extra storage, a screen protector, racing wheels and a camera in one box. The gap is about $85: $375.00 at eBay versus $459.99 at Walmart, both as of November 5, 2026. The bundle's extras are worth roughly that much bought separately, so neither is a clear rip-off.

Today the Nintendo Switch 2 costs $84.99 less at its best price.
