Which is better for a heavy mattress or two sleepers?

The platform frame, because it is rated to 1,200 lb and supports the mattress directly. The Reece's weight limit is not stated and it relies on a box spring.

Do I need a box spring with either?

Only with the Reece, which requires a box spring and mattress, neither included. The platform frame needs no box spring.

The metal platform frame is the safer bet for structure, since metal does not sag like upholstered wood frames can. The Reece's upholstery may show wear sooner in a light pink velvet.

Is the Reece worth it over the platform frame?

It costs $10.99 less and has a much larger review base, so it is worth it if you want the pink channel-tufted look and already own a box spring. Otherwise the platform frame is the more practical buy.

Which is easier to assemble?

The platform frame is marketed as easy assembly and its metal parts are typically simpler to bolt together. The Reece requires full assembly of an upholstered frame.

Which color fits a neutral bedroom?

The beige linen platform frame blends into most rooms. The light pink velvet Reece is a statement piece and harder to match.
