Which is better for a party?

The Mr DJ has dual 15-inch woofers and a 128 dB max SPL, so it should fill a large room with bass more easily. The Rockville's higher 1000 W RMS rating gives it headroom, but it depends on the mixer driving it.

Do I need an amplifier for the Rockville?

Yes. The RSG12 is passive, so it needs the included powered mixer or another amplifier to produce sound. The Mr DJ is active and plugs in on its own.

Which is easier to set up?

The Mr DJ: one powered box with Bluetooth. The Rockville requires wiring the mixer, mics and stands before it plays.

Can I pair two for stereo?

The Mr DJ supports TWS, so two units can pair wirelessly for stereo. The Rockville has no TWS; you would wire each speaker to the mixer.

Which handles more inputs?

The Rockville's 8-channel powered mixer takes more mics and sources. The Mr DJ has 2 inputs and 3 channels.

Is one worth the extra cost?

It depends on live prices, which were not provided here. If you need mics, stands and a mixer, the Rockville bundle saves buying them separately; if you want one self-powered box, the Mr DJ is the simpler buy.
