Questions and answers
- Which is better for long rides?
- The Sena, mainly for its 4-way intercom and sun visor. The ILM lists 9 hours of talk time, so check that against your ride length.
- Is the ILM worth saving $29?
- Only if the flip-up chin bar or the wider size range matters to you. Otherwise the Sena's newer Bluetooth and intercom are the better buy.
- Which is better for glasses wearers?
- The ILM, which lists eyewear compatibility. The Sena listing does not mention it.
- Does the ILM fit more head sizes?
- Yes. It comes in S, M, XL and XXL. The Sena listing shows XL at 59-60 cm.
- Which is lighter?
- The Sena is listed at 1600 g in size M. ILM does not publish a weight, and modular helmets usually weigh more than fixed full-face ones.
- Can I use my phone for music and GPS on both?
- Yes. Both pair with a phone for calls, music and navigation audio. The Sena adds 4-way intercom.
