Is the PS5 Pro worth the extra over the Slim?

Only if you have a 4K 120Hz TV or PSVR2 and play games that support Pro patches. At $1,134.57 versus $485.00, the gap is large; the Pro's recent low was $699.99 on November 7, 2026, so waiting for a drop makes more sense.

Which has more storage?

The Pro has 2TB built in versus 1TB on the Slim. Both accept an M.2 NVMe SSD for expansion.

Can either play disc games?

The Slim Digital Edition cannot. This Pro listing also shows no disc drive, though Sony sells a detachable disc drive for the Pro separately.

Which is better for a 1080p TV?

The Slim. The Pro's gains show up mainly on 4K and 120Hz displays, so on a 1080p set you pay a lot for little visible difference.

Which is better for PSVR2?

The Pro. Its stronger GPU and PSSR upscaling give sharper, smoother VR output in supported titles.

Do both include a controller?

Yes, both ship with a DualSense wireless controller. Only the Slim includes a pre-installed game, Astro's Playroom.
