Which has better noise cancelling?

The Liberty 5. Its Adaptive ANC 3.0 adjusts every 0.3 seconds and targets human voices. The P31i has active noise cancelling but no adaptive tuning.

Is the Liberty 5 worth the extra $36?

Yes if you take calls or ride transit daily. The 6-mic array, adaptive ANC and longer per-charge battery are real upgrades. If you mainly want cheap LDAC sound, the P31i is enough.

Which lasts longer on a charge?

The Liberty 5: up to 12 hours normal and 8 with ANC, versus 50 hours total for the P31i with its case. The P31i's per-charge figure is not stated.

Do both support LDAC?

Yes. Both are Hi-Res certified with LDAC. The Liberty 5 adds Dolby Audio modes for movies and podcasts.

Are both water resistant?

Yes, both are IP55, so sweat and light rain are fine. Neither is meant for swimming.

Which is better for calls?

The Liberty 5. Six mics plus AI noise cancellation and a wind-resistant algorithm handle outdoor calls better than the P31i's two-algorithm setup.

Soundcore P31i Translation Earbuds vs Soundcore Liberty 5

The Liberty 5 is the better buy for most people: stronger adaptive ANC, Dolby Audio, a 6-mic call array and up to 12 hours per charge in normal mode. The P31i costs about half as much and still gives you LDAC, IP55 and active noise cancelling, so it wins on value. As of November 7, 2026, the P31i is $33.99 at eBay and the Liberty 5 is $69.99 at eBay.
