Which has better sound quality?

The Liberty 4 NC, on paper. Its 11mm drivers and LDAC support allow higher-resolution streaming than the Space A40's 10mm drivers and AAC-only connection. You need a phone that supports LDAC to hear the difference.

Is the Liberty 4 NC worth the extra $10?

Yes if you care about audio quality or want wireless charging. At $49.99 versus $39.99, the gap is small for LDAC, Bluetooth 5.3 and slightly stronger ANC. If you just want quiet commutes cheaply, the Space A40 is enough.

Which has better noise cancellation?

They are close. Soundcore rates the Space A40 at up to 98% noise reduction and the Liberty 4 NC at up to 98.5% with Adaptive ANC 2.0. Real-world difference will be small; fit matters more than the spec.

Do both last 50 hours with the case?

Yes. Both give 10 hours per charge and 50 hours total with the case, and both fast charge 10 minutes for 4 hours of playback. The Liberty 4 NC adds wireless charging.

Can I use either with an iPhone?

Yes, both connect over Bluetooth, but iPhone does not support LDAC, so the Liberty 4 NC's hi-res advantage is lost there. On iPhone the Space A40 at $39.99 is the better value.

Are either waterproof for running?

Neither is waterproof. Both are rated IPX4, which resists sweat and light rain but not submersion. They are fine for workouts, not for swimming.
