Questions and answers
- Which is better for a first Star Wars game?
- Fallen Order is the easier entry. It is linear, cheaper and its combat teaches parrying step by step. Outlaws is bigger and more open, which can overwhelm newcomers.
- Which lasts longer?
- Outlaws has the longer campaign and more side content across its planets. Fallen Order runs roughly 20 hours for the story and more if you hunt collectibles.
- Is Outlaws worth the extra $6?
- Yes if you want open-world exploration, stealth and ship combat. No if you mainly want a tight Jedi story, where Fallen Order does more for less.
- Do I need to play anything first?
- No for either. Outlaws has a new cast. Fallen Order is the first game in its series, so start there before Jedi: Survivor.
- Which runs better on PS5?
- Fallen Order is the more stable of the two on PS5. Outlaws has improved with patches but still has rougher spots in crowded areas.
- Are both physical discs?
- Yes. Outlaws is listed as a disc in Standard Edition. Fallen Order comes as disc or download, so check the listing before you buy.
