Questions and answers
- Which has the better camera?
- The Moto G 2025. It has a 50MP rear camera and a 16MP front camera against 13MP and 5MP on the TCL K33 5G. For photos and video calls, the Moto G is clearly ahead.
- Is the Moto G 2025 worth $91 more than the TCL?
- Only if you care about the camera and the 120Hz screen. Both run Android on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 with 4GB RAM and a 5,000mAh battery, so day-to-day speed is similar.
- Which lasts longer on a charge?
- They are close. The TCL has a 5,010mAh battery and the Moto G has 5,000mAh. The Moto G charges faster at 30W, so it recovers quicker.
- Can I use either on Verizon or Straight Talk?
- Yes. The TCL K33 5G is sold for Verizon, TracFone and Straight Talk. The Moto G 2025 lists Verizon, Straight Talk, Total Wireless and unlocked, though the eBay unit is locked to Straight Talk.
- Which is better for watching video?
- The Moto G 2025, because of its 120Hz refresh rate. Both screens are 720p, so sharpness is similar at 6.7 to 6.75 inches.
- Do either have a headphone jack?
- The Moto G 2025 lists a headphone jack. The TCL K33 5G specs do not list one, so assume you need wireless or USB-C audio.
