Which is better for tough grease and baked-on grime?

The Pink Stuff. Its paste and cream cleaner are mild abrasives that scrub off tough dirt, while buyers of the Starter Kit say its all-purpose cleaner could cut grease better.

Which is better around children and pets?

The Starter Home Cleaner Kit. It uses non-toxic ingredients, is Leaping Bunny certified and has light natural scents, while The Pink Stuff is a sodium silicate formula with a stronger rhubarb scent.

Is the Starter Kit worth the extra money?

It costs $3.07 more at current prices, but you get three reusable glass bottles and tablet refills instead of disposable plastic. If you clean often and want less plastic, that pays off; if you want raw cleaning power, The Pink Stuff is cheaper.

The Starter Kit's bottles are reusable and only the tablets need replacing, so the hardware lasts for years. The Pink Stuff bundle's spray bottle and tubs are used up and replaced, though four products give you more cleaning per dollar up front.

Can The Pink Stuff be used on glass and mirrors?

Yes, glass is on its surface list, but the paste is abrasive, so use the spray or cream on glass. The Starter Kit includes a dedicated Glass & Mirror formula that buyers praise as streak-free.

Which has better ratings?

The Starter Kit rates 4.9 out of 5, but from only 79 ratings. The Pink Stuff rates 4.6 out of 5 from 537 ratings, a larger and still strong sample.
