Which is better for a whole home in a cold climate?

Both deliver 27kW, so heating capacity is the same. The Titan's 5 GPM edge helps at high demand, but ground water temperature drives output more than the brand. Size either against your incoming water temperature and fixture count.

Is the Opti27 Plus worth the extra $245?

If the 25-year residential warranty and Wi-Fi control matter to you, yes. If you just want 27kW of heat at the lowest price, the Titan covers it for less.

The Opti27 Plus states a 25-year residential warranty; the Titan listing states no warranty term. A stated warranty is the clearest durability signal here, though both are electric units with similar heating elements.

Do both need the same electrical setup?

The Titan needs 240V, 112A max, two 60A breakers, and 6-gauge wire. The Opti27 Plus runs on 208/220/240V but its breaker and wire specs are not stated, so confirm with an electrician before buying.

Which has better flow for multiple showers?

The Titan lists 5 GPM versus 4.5 GPM for the Opti27 Plus. That small gap matters if two showers run at once, but neither will keep up with every fixture in a large home at cold inlet temperatures.

Can I control either from my phone?

Only the Opti27 Plus. It has Wi-Fi, an iOS/Android app, usage tracking, and real-time notifications. The Titan uses a thermostat dial on the front cover.
