Which is better for international travel?

The Fosmon, because it reads in both pounds and kilograms. Many airlines outside the US state limits in kilograms.

Is the Travel Inspira accurate enough for airline limits?

It is rated to 50 kg, which covers most checked bags. Some reviewers doubted its readings, so weigh your bag twice and allow a small margin under the limit.

Which one is easier to read in a dark hotel room?

The Travel Inspira, which has a backlit LCD. The Fosmon listing does not mention a backlight.

Is the Fosmon worth the extra $4?

Yes if you want kg readings, a stainless steel body, and zero/tare functions. If you only weigh bags in pounds, the Travel Inspira saves money.

Do both handle a full 50 kg bag?

Yes. Both are rated to 50 kg (110 lb). Holding a heavy bag steady is the hard part on either scale.

The Fosmon's stainless steel body should hold up better to knocks than the Travel Inspira's rubber housing. Neither listing gives a warranty.
