Which is better for a first home bar?

The True 20-Piece set. It includes a Boston shaker, jigger, strainer, spoon, muddler, tongs, pourers and glasses, so you can make most classic cocktails without buying anything else. The Caraway set is smaller and does not list a shaker.

Is the Caraway Bar Set worth the extra money?

It depends on what you value. At $140.25 to $165.00 for 9 pieces, you pay more per tool, but reviewers consistently praise its weight, sturdiness and looks. If you already own a shaker and want a set that stays on display, it can be worth it.

Which set is more durable?

Reviewers describe the Caraway tools as substantial and sturdy, which points to solid build. The True set uses stainless steel, glass and bamboo, and its tools are dishwasher safe, but the excerpts give no durability feedback. Hand washing the wood stand will help it last.

Does either set include a shaker?

The True set includes a Boston shaker tin with a measured mixing glass. The Caraway specs list a jigger, muddler and strainer but no shaker, so check the box contents before buying if a shaker matters to you.

Which is easier to clean?

The True set. Its tools are dishwasher safe, and only the wood stand needs a damp cloth. Caraway does not state care instructions in the specs, so hand washing is the safe default.

Which takes up less space?

The Caraway set, at 9 pieces with an organizer. The True set's 20 pieces, including four shot glasses and a wood stand, need more room.
