Questions and answers
- Is the Quantum Pro worth the extra money over the 40-inch?
- Yes if you watch 4K HDR or game. The Quantum Pro adds 4K resolution, a 120 Hz QLED panel, local dimming, FreeSync and two more HDMI ports for about $435 more.
- Which is better for gaming?
- The Quantum Pro. Its 120 Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium reduce tearing and motion blur; the 40-inch is limited to 60 Hz with no VRR.
- Which is better for a bedroom?
- The 40-inch fits small rooms and costs far less. Pick the Quantum Pro only if the room is large enough to justify a 50-inch 4K screen.
- Does the 40-inch support 4K streaming?
- No. Its panel is 1080p, so 4K streams play at 1080p. The Quantum Pro displays full 4K.
- Which has more HDMI inputs?
- The Quantum Pro has four; the 40-inch has two.
- Do both have HDR?
- Both list HDR, but the Quantum Pro's QLED panel with local dimming produces a brighter, more contrasty HDR image than the 40-inch LED.
