Which is better for six players?

The Wood Expressions. Its board seats up to six, and the set includes marbles in six colors. The Cardinal lists a four-player maximum.

Is the Wood Expressions worth the extra money?

If you play often or want a set that stays out on a table, yes. The solid oak board and six-player capacity are the main reasons it costs $34.99 versus $10.00.

The Wood Expressions is the safer bet. Solid Malaysian oak holds up better than a tin-board set, though glass marbles can chip if dropped.

Which is easier to store and travel with?

The Cardinal. It packs into its tin. The Wood Expressions is heavy and comes with a bag for marbles only.

Do both play the same game?

Yes. Both are standard Chinese checkers, a race to move your marbles to the opposite side of the board.

Which is better for kids?

The Cardinal is the cheaper choice for kids, and its tin survives being put away. Watch young children around the glass marbles in either set.
