Is the Hamilton Beach 14-cup worth it?

At $29.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get programmable brewing, a 14-cup glass carafe and a 1-4 cup setting. If you need coffee to stay hot longer than two hours, a thermal carafe model suits you better.

How long does it keep coffee warm?

The warming plate holds coffee hot for two hours after brewing, then the machine shuts off automatically. Owners often mention this two-hour cutoff as a limitation for all-day drinkers.

How many cups does the 14-cup carafe actually make?

It brews up to 14 five-ounce cups, roughly 70 ounces, which fills about ten standard 7-ounce mugs. The 1-4 cup setting adjusts the brew for smaller batches.

Can I set it the night before?

Yes. The 24-hour programmable timer lets you load grounds and water the night before and set the start time with the easy-touch controls. Auto Pause and Pour also lets you grab a cup before the cycle finishes.

Is the carafe and basket dishwasher safe?

Yes. The borosilicate glass carafe and the removable brew basket are both dishwasher safe. The carafe's bulge can make hand washing a little awkward.

When is the price lowest?

Its lowest recent price was $29.99 on November 2, 2026, against a high of $36.99 on October 31, 2026. The current $29.99 at Walmart matches that low.
