Is the Caraway set really nonstick without PFAS?

Yes. The coating is ceramic and marketed as free of PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, lead and cadmium. It releases food well when new but needs a little oil and low-to-medium heat to keep working.

Can I use metal utensils or put these pans in the dishwasher?

No on both. Caraway recommends silicone or wood utensils and hand washing to protect the coating and the cream finish.

Is the set oven safe?

Yes, the pans are oven safe to 550°F. The gold handles get hot in the oven, so use mitts.

What comes in the 7-piece set?

A 10.5-inch fry pan, a 3-quart saucepan with lid, a 4.5-quart saute pan with lid, a 6.5-quart Dutch oven with lid and a storage rack.

Is $519 a good price?

It is the best new price found, $519 at Nordstrom as of November 7, 2026, but it sits near the top of the set's recent range. Caraway sets often drop during seasonal sales, so it is worth watching.

Does it work on induction cooktops?

No. The aluminum base is not induction compatible; it works on gas, electric and ceramic stovetops.
