Is 10k gold real gold?

Yes. 10k gold is about 41.7% pure gold alloyed with other metals. It is real gold, but less yellow and less valuable than 14k or 18k.

Is this chain thick enough for a pendant?

It is a fine rope chain, and reviewers describe it as thin. It can hold a small, light pendant, but a heavy one may strain the links.

It is 22 inches long, which sits below the collarbone on most people. That length works well with pendants and for layering.

Is $212.50 a good price?

It is the lowest new price among the two stores listing it as of November 7, 2026. Whether it is good value depends on the weight, which buyers often find light for the money.

Should I choose 14k instead?

If you want a deeper yellow color and better resale value, 14k is the usual step up. Expect to pay noticeably more for the same length.
