Is the Dell XPS 13 worth it?

Yes if you want a light 13-inch Windows laptop with a sharp screen and long battery life. Check the configuration first: 8GB RAM and a 128GB drive are tight, so a 16GB/512GB model is the better long-term buy.

How does it compare with the previous XPS 13?

The current model moves to Intel Core Ultra chips with Intel Arc graphics and offers a 120Hz display option. That means better integrated graphics and smoother scrolling than older generations, at a similar size and weight.

How long does the battery last?

Dell rates it at up to 19 hours. Real-world use is shorter, especially on the 4K touchscreen model; the 2K non-touch panel lasts longer.

Is the 4K touchscreen worth the extra cost?

It is sharper and supports touch, but it drains the battery faster and adds to the price. For writing and web work, the 2K non-touch panel is the better value.

What ports does it have?

It has USB-C ports only, so plan on a USB-C hub or dock for USB-A, HDMI or an SD card reader.

When is the best time to buy?

Prices have ranged from about $481 to $1,490 since late October 2026, so watch for drops around sales events. The current $1,249 at Best Buy is below the recent high but not the floor.
