  • 1-foot hose limits reach for stairs and crevices
  • Carpet-focused; avoid wet surfaces
  • 20-inch cleaning width is wide for a stick vacuum, which can make it harder to steer

    Questions and answers

Is the POWEART V870 good for pet hair?
Yes. It is marketed for pet hair and its 30KPa suction and HEPA filter suit carpeted homes with shedding pets. Expect to use MAX mode, which drains the battery in about 20 minutes.
How long does the battery last and how long to charge?
About 20 minutes in MAX mode; lower modes run longer but with less suction. A full charge takes about 4.5 hours, and the battery is detachable so a spare can be charged separately.
Does it work on hard floors?
It is listed for carpet, and POWEART says to avoid wet surfaces. It will pick up debris on hard floors, but the carpet-focused brush and wide 20-inch head are tuned for rugs and carpet.
Is $96 a good price for it?
Its recent range is narrow: $100 at the high on October 30 and $96 at the low on November 1. At $96 you are at the bottom of that range, but the difference is only about $4.
    What comes in the box?
The vacuum, a detachable rechargeable battery, a HEPA filter and a charging adapter. Check the listing for included attachments such as a crevice tool, since bundles vary.
Can I buy replacement batteries and filters?
The battery is removable, so a spare can be swapped in. Confirm filter and battery availability for the V870 before buying, since accessory support varies by seller.
