Is 10k gold real gold?

Yes. 10k means 10 parts gold out of 24, or about 41.7% gold mixed with alloys. It is legally gold in the US but has less gold than 14k (58.3%) or 18k (75%).

Is this chain solid or hollow?

The listing describes it as a solid rope chain, meaning the links are solid metal rather than hollow tubes. Solid chains resist denting but weigh and cost more than hollow ones.

Will an 18-inch chain fit a man?

18 inches sits at the collarbone on most men and may look short. Many men prefer 20 to 24 inches; 18 inches is a common women's length.

Can I put a pendant on a rope chain?

Yes, if the pendant's bail is wide enough to slide over the rope link. Rope chains are thicker than cable chains, so check the bail opening before buying.

Is $450 a good price for a 10k gold rope chain?

Gold price depends on weight, and the listing does not state the chain's gram weight. Compare the price per gram with other 10k rope chains before deciding; $450 is the only new price listed as of November 8, 2026.

How should I care for a 10k gold chain?

Keep it away from chlorine, perfume and lotions, and wipe it with a soft cloth after wear. Store it flat or hanging to avoid kinks in the rope link.
