Does the AVH-240EX support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?

No. It supports Bluetooth and USB playback from Apple and Android phones, but it does not have CarPlay or Android Auto.

Can I add a backup camera?

Yes. It has a rear camera input, so a compatible backup camera can display on the 6.2-inch screen.

Does it play DVDs while driving?

No. Video playback is locked out while the parking brake is released, so DVDs play only when parked.

It is a double-DIN unit, so it fits most cars with a double-DIN dash opening; others need a dash kit and wiring adapter.

Is $198 a good price?

It is the best new price found as of November 7, 2026, and the top of its recent range, so waiting for a sale could save money.

Expect the receiver, a wiring harness, trim ring, mounting hardware and a microphone for hands-free calls.
