About the Novilla Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress in a Box with Lumbar Support

The Novilla Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress is a 14-inch bed-in-a-box in King size, built with gel-infused foam and a lumbar support layer. The gel is meant to pull heat away, and the thicker profile gives it a plusher, more sink-in feel than a 10- or 12-inch foam mattress. At $267.84 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a King gel foam mattress typically costs, well under the $500 to $900 that big-name King foam beds often run. That price is a strong one for the size, though it is a budget brand with a shorter track record than the major mattress names.

Best forShoppers who want a King foam mattress under $300Back and side sleepers who like a soft, contouring feelGuest rooms and rentals where cost mattersHot sleepers who want gel foam over plain memory foam
Pros
  • 14-inch profile gives more foam and a plusher feel than thin boxed mattresses
  • Gel-infused foam is designed to sleep cooler than standard memory foam
  • Lumbar support layer targets the lower back
  • King size at $267.84 is very low for a gel foam mattress

Cons
  • Soft, deep-sink foam can feel too plush for stomach sleepers or heavy buyers
  • Budget foams tend to soften and show body impressions sooner than premium ones
  • Gel cooling helps but does not make a foam mattress truly cool
  • Off-gassing smell is common with boxed foam and can take days to fade
  • Little long-term durability data compared with major brands

Questions and answers

Is the Novilla gel foam mattress good for hot sleepers?
The gel infusion helps it run cooler than basic memory foam, but it is still a foam mattress and sleeps warmer than a hybrid or innerspring. Hot sleepers should pair it with breathable sheets and a cool room.
How firm is the 14-inch Novilla mattress?
It leans soft to medium-soft. The 14-inch build adds plushness, so it suits side sleepers and people who like to sink in; stomach sleepers and heavier buyers may want something firmer.
How long does it take to expand after unboxing?
Most boxed foam mattresses like this one reach full shape within 24 to 72 hours. Expect a foam smell during that time, and give it a day before sleeping on it.
Is $267.84 a good price for a King Novilla mattress?
Yes. That is at the low end for a King gel foam mattress, well below the $500 to $900 typical of major-brand King foam beds. It was the best new price across 2 stores as of November 5, 2026.
Does the mattress need a box spring?
No. It works on a platform bed, slatted frame or adjustable base. A solid or closely slatted foundation is best; a traditional box spring is not required.
What is the warranty?
Novilla typically backs its mattresses with a limited warranty of around 10 years. Confirm the terms with the seller before buying, since coverage varies by model.
