Is the JBL Live 680NC worth $79.95?

At $79.95 at Best Buy as of November 3, 2026, it is a fair price for adaptive ANC, multipoint and very long battery life. It is not a premium build, but nothing in this range matches the battery claim.

How long does the battery really last?

JBL claims up to 80 hours, but expect far less with noise cancelling and higher volume. Plan on roughly two to three days of heavy commuting use per charge.

Does it work with iPhone and Android?

Yes. It pairs over standard Bluetooth and supports multipoint, so it can stay connected to a phone and a laptop at once. Google Assistant and Siri are both supported.

Is it on-ear or over-ear?

It is on-ear: the pads sit on the ear rather than around it. That makes it lighter and more packable but less isolating than over-ear designs.

What comes in the box?

The headphones, a charging case and a USB charging cable. A lithium-ion battery is built in.

The price has held at $79.95 since October 30, 2026, with no lower point recorded. Watch for holiday sales, when JBL headphones typically drop further.
