Is $478 a good price for this monitor?

It is at the low end of its recent range and well below typical launch pricing for a 240 Hz 1440p OLED. At $478 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is a strong buy if you want OLED motion clarity.

Is 200 cd/m² bright enough?

It is fine in a dim or controlled room, which suits gaming. In a sunlit room the picture will look flat next to a bright LCD.

OLED can burn in with long static images such as a taskbar or HUD. Vary content, use screensavers and dark mode, and check LG's warranty terms for panel coverage.

Can it run 240 Hz over HDMI?

Full 240 Hz at 1440p is most reliable over DisplayPort with a capable GPU. Check your HDMI version and cable if you connect a console or laptop.

Does it have speakers?

Yes, it has built-in speakers. They are fine for casual use but a headset or desk speakers will sound better.

Expect the monitor, stand, power cable and a DisplayPort or HDMI cable. Confirm the cable type with the seller before ordering.
