Is the j7+ worth it at $119.99?

At $119.99 at Woot as of November 3, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get self-emptying and obstacle avoidance. At its original price it competed with stronger vacuums; at this price the trade-offs are easier to accept.

How does the j7+ compare with the Roomba j7?

The j7+ adds the self-emptying Clean Base; the vacuum itself is essentially the same. Buy the j7+ if you want to empty the bin less often, and the plain j7 if you already have a base or want to save space.

Does it work with Alexa and Google Assistant?

Yes. It supports both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for starting, stopping and sending it home. Mapping and scheduling are handled in the iRobot app.

How often does the base need emptying?

iRobot rates the bagless base for about 60 days of debris for a typical home. Homes with heavy pet hair will need to empty it more often.

Is it good for pet hair?

It is marketed for pets and does well on hard floors and low-pile carpet. On thick carpet, expect to run it more often and clean the brushes of wrapped hair.

Its tracked low since November 1, 2026 is $111.92 on November 3, against a high of $799.95 on November 1. Holiday sales and clearance events are the usual times to watch for drops.
