Is the RX1 Scout good on carpet?

It handles low-pile carpet but is at its best on hard floors. Owners report weaker pickup on thicker carpet and with pet hair.

Does it map rooms or work with an app?

No. The RX1 Scout uses sensor-based navigation without room mapping, app zoning or no-go lines.

How long does the battery last and how long to charge?

Miele rates it at up to 2 hours of cleaning per charge, with about 2 hours to recharge on the charging stand.

Does it have a HEPA filter?

No. It uses Miele's Air Clean filtration, which is not HEPA certified.

Is $225 a good price?

At $225 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, it is the lowest of the four new prices we track, well under what Miele's newer robots cost. It is a fair price for a basic robot, but check that filters and brushes are still available.

About the Miele RX1 Scout Robotic Vacuum

The Miele RX1 Scout is a round robot vacuum for hard floors and low-pile carpet, built around Miele's triple cleaning system: a rotating brush, a side brush and suction. It runs up to 2 hours on a lithium-ion battery and recharges in about 2 hours on its charging stand. At $225 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, it sits well below what Miele's current robot line typically costs. It is a dry-only vacuum with Air Clean filtration, not HEPA, and no mop function.
