Is this set worth it compared with buying a table and chairs separately?

For eight seats, yes. A comparable wood-top table plus eight chairs usually costs more than $541.99, so the bundle is the cheaper route if the size fits your space.

How big a space does the table need?

The table is 79 inches long, and you need roughly 2 feet of clearance on each side for chairs to pull out. Plan on a patio at least 10 by 8 feet.

Can the chairs stay outside in the rain?

The rattan and metal frame handle rain, but the acacia top should be oiled and covered in winter. Leaving it wet and uncovered speeds graying and cracking.

Does it come with an umbrella?

No. The box has the table and eight chairs only. The 1.9-inch hole fits most standard patio umbrellas, sold separately.

How much weight can the table and chairs hold?

The table supports 165 lbs and each chair 400 lbs, per the manufacturer. That is fine for dishes and normal use but not for standing on the table.

Patio sets usually drop in late summer and around Black Friday. At $541.99 it is already near the low end of its recent range, so waiting may not save much.
